Most nonprofit professionals are dabbling with AI, but few turn it into repeatable results. In 3 weeks, you’ll build real workflows, customize your personal AI playbook, and leave with a 90-day AI action plan that embeds AI into your daily work with confidence.
We're a proud partner of the Fundraising.AI Global Summit. Join one of our Summit PLUS experiences to turn insight into action.
Most AI trainings either drown you in jargon or skim the surface with generic tips. This immersion is different: it’s built for nonprofit professionals, by nonprofit and AI experts. It’s fast, practical, and tailored to your reality — so you can stop dabbling and start leading with confidence.
We know you don’t have time for hype or endless tools. You need AI that helps you write stronger donor appeals, analyze data faster, run campaigns more efficiently, and protect trust. And the clock is ticking: funders, boards, and peers are starting to expect AI capability across the sector. The opportunity is huge. Used well, AI can save you hours each week, sharpen your strategy, and amplify your impact - without replacing your voice, values, or relationships.
And this isn’t just about skills. Along the way, you’ll craft a 90-day action plan, contribute to a peer-powered Prompt & Use Case Library, and build the habits and mindsets that make AI stick. By the end, you won’t just know AI, you’ll practice it with confidence, transforming how you work, scaling your impact, and fueling your mission.
Three weeks. Hands-on. Role-specific.
A structured journey that takes you from dabbling to doing. You’ll build core habits, practice real collaboration with AI, and redesign one of your workflows for impact. Everything you learn ties directly to your day-to-day role.
Keep Learning Year Round
Enrollment includes a full year of Sparks: short, high-energy sessions that deliver quick wins, tool hacks, myth-busting insights, and leadership debates. Each one keeps your skills sharp and your momentum alive long after the Immersion.
Turn Skills into Daily Practice
You’ll leave with a Personal AI Journal and Workbook, a framework for spotting use cases, and access to the shared Prompt & Use Case Library. Plus, your own Generative AI Playbook and 90-Day Action Plan—built by you, guided by PLAI, ready for real-world use.
Your Circle of Practice
Join PLAI’s Mission-First AI Community: a private network of peers and alumni tackling the same challenges. Share wins, test ideas, and get direct support from experts. This isn’t another noisy LinkedIn group—it’s a trusted space to learn and grow together.
Before we dive in, you’ll join a live onboarding to meet your cohort, set goals, and get oriented. Together, we’ll complete the AI Capability Assessment, surface your priorities, and create a shared language so every session connects directly to your real work. If you’re brand new to AI, you’ll also get a fast-track primer on the basics — so everyone begins on the same page.
By the end of Onboarding, you will:
See exactly what AI can (and can’t) do for your nonprofit role — from fundraising to comms to program design. You’ll start with quick wins you can use right away, then move into the principles and habits that separate effective AI users from the dabblers. Along the way, you’ll practice spotting high-value use cases, learn prompting basics, and explore nonprofit examples that show what’s possible.
By the end of Week 1, you will:
Now it’s about depth. We’ll take one of your real tasks — writing a donor appeal, analyzing survey data, drafting policy briefs, or building a content calendar — and turn it into a repeatable AI workflow. You’ll design better prompts, create reusable templates, and test simple custom GPTs if relevant. The focus is on leaving with something practical, not theoretical: a working AI workflow that saves time and raises quality.
By the end of Week 2, you will:
The final step is about making change last. You’ll codify what you built into a simple AI Playbook you can use every day, then map out a 90-day plan for expanding into more use cases. Together we’ll practice nonprofit-specific guardrails for ethics, privacy, equity, and donor trust, so you feel confident using AI responsibly. You’ll leave with the structure and mindset to keep AI alive in your work, long after the immersion ends.
By the end of Week 3, you will:

Cohort Experience (Virtual)
Virtual AI Immersion
Unlike any other professional, or leadership course I have participated in. Cohesive group, well facilitated and the learnings structured but held loosely enough to allow for flexibility. I highly recommend PLAI to leaders, teams and those wanting to build curiosity and creativity within their organizations.
From day one I realized this was different...and it was going to challenge me, welcome me and support me. Highly engaging, practical and informative. Smooth, confident facilitation, while deeply approachable and personable. The right language, frameworks, tools and mindset for a different way of being and doing.
It was truly a wonderful restructuring experience for my work but also personal front. I have thought about the key lessons almost everyday, reflecting in silence and embarking upon a process of becoming a better and more effective person and professional.
A rare mix of bold challenge and deep care. I left not just with leadership tools, but with a new way of seeing myself and my role. Practical, stretching, and profoundly human. The PLAI team made complex ideas accessible and actionable. I walked away with both a strategy and the confidence to lead it.
What stood out? The mix of rigorous insight and empathy. I’ve sat through a dozen AI workshops, but this was different. Thoughtfully designed, ethically grounded, and laser-focused on impact. The combination of structure and openness created the conditions for breakthroughs I didn’t expect.
What surprised me most was how quickly fear turned into excitement. The sessions helped our team reframe AI from confusion to possibility. Generous, challenging, and beautifully designed. The PLAI team made AI feel less like a black box and more like a canvas.
