AI Immersion · 4-Week Live Cohort

There's a better way to learn AI.
And it starts with how you think.

You're probably using AI already. Maybe you're getting decent results, maybe you're frustrated, maybe you're excited but ready to build agents and repeatable systems. Either way, you know there's more - but nobody's shown you how to get there in a way that makes sense for your work.

That's what the AI Immersion is. Four weeks, live, with a cohort of leaders across the sector. We'll show you possibilities you didn't know existed - and give you the framework to make them yours. By the end, you'll have designed and built your own personal AI system that you'll use every day.

The problem we've seen

AI training is falling short.

People are sick of sitting through webinars that feel like sales pitches. Resources are filled with prompts that aren't designed for how AI really works. Maybe you've been using ChatGPT for months (or years) - but you haven't been shown the advanced capabilities and systems that can take you to the next level.

80% of AI training is run by tech companies trying to sell something.

People across the sector are missing out on HUGE value, and most don't even know what's really possible. The problem isn't you, and it isn't the tech. It's that most AI training show you tools but don't teach you how to think, how to design, how to use systems thinking. They skip the framework - the part that helps you figure out where AI fits in your world and how to make it work for the way you work.

That's the piece we give you. And once you have it, everything else clicks.

What shifts in 4 weeks

This is what it looks like before and after an AI Immersion.

What is made possible when your approach to AI fundamentally shifts.

Before AI Immersion

Using AI to get tasks done faster - still doing the same tasks.
Missing out on advanced capabilities (agents, connectors, and more).
Thinking in tasks, instead of workflows and systems.
Following someone else's template for how to prompt.
Knowing about AI but not how to align it to strategic priorities.

After AI Immersion

Designing systems that extend your reach in ways you genuinely couldn't before.
Building well trained, integrated, and self-improving AI systems with advanced capabilities.
Treating AI as a collaborative thinking partner - getting outputs that actually reflect your expertise and judgment.
Building your own approach from the ground up - one that fits your specific role, sector, and way of thinking.
Able to use AI as a strategic advantage - chose the right tool, spot limitations, and make a clear-eyed call about where AI fits - and where it doesn't.

Why you're ready

The best AI users aren't tech people. They're people who know their world deeply.

The people getting extraordinary results with AI aren't the ones with technical backgrounds. They're the ones who bring deep expertise, strong judgment, and a clear sense of what good looks like - and then learn to connect that to what AI can do.

You already have those things. What's been missing is the framework.

We teach mindset, methods, skills, and tools - in that order, because it matters. How you think about AI changes everything. The methods and approaches that work are learnable and repeatable. The skills are smaller than you think. And the tools - from generative AI to custom assistants to agents to deep research - make sense once you have the foundation underneath them.

Our team have spent 25+ years inside the nonprofit sector. We've written grant applications, balanced tight budgets, explained AI to sceptical boards. Every exercise, every example, every framework is designed for mission-driven work - not adapted from a tech company playbook.

We've trained 15,000+ nonprofit professionals in AI with a 4.9/5 rating. We love seeing participants have those 'aha' moments and the joy they have when they see what's really possible and realize that they can do far more than they realised.

A cohort of your peers

Learn together with sector leaders.

One of the biggest things we hear from past participants is that they loved learning alongside a community. Having people around them who work in similar contexts, share similar constraints, and are asking the same questions - it makes the learning stick in a way that solo courses never do.

Live Weekly Sessions

Four live 2 hour AI Labs with hands-on experimentation built in. Not slides and talking heads - active, energetic, often surprising.

Peer Learning Group

A dedicated space to share what you're building, get real-time feedback, and find out what's working for people doing your kind of work.

12-Month Access to AI Learning Platform

After the cohort, you get access to PLAI's AI Learning Platform for a full year - packed with resources, bonus sessions and expert support.

You Build a Full AI System

By the end of the Immersion you'll have a personal AI system - workflows, prompt library, your team of AI agents and a whole new way of using AI.

The four-week journey

What happens, week by week.

Each week builds on the last. By week four, you'll look back at week one and wonder how you ever used AI any other way.

Week 1 AI Lab - May 6
Mindset

Everything starts here. We ground you in how to think about and approach AI - the principles, the mindset, the way of engaging that sets effective AI users apart. We clear out the wrong assumptions, the myths, the habits that have been quietly holding you back. Before you can build something new, you need to let go of what isn't working.

You'll leave with: A completely different lens for how you engage with AI - and the foundation everything else builds on
Week 2 AI Lab - May 13
Possibility

Now we open things up. What's possible across the full AI landscape - generative AI, multi-modal tools, custom assistants, agents, deep research, and features most people don't know exist. You'll see what sets the best AI users apart, understand the key levers, and start practicing skills across different tools and capabilities. This is usually the week where people say "I had no idea you could do that."

You'll leave with: A clear picture of what's possible and your first hands-on builds.
Week 3 AI Lab - May 27
Design

This is the step everyone else skips - and it's the most important. Before you build, you design. What does your AI need to know? What's the methodology? What context does it need? What does good look like? This is where the design thinking comes in - getting clear on the approach so you're scaling quality, not scaling mistakes.

You'll leave with: The complete blueprint for your own personal AI system - ready to build.
Week 4 AI Lab - June 3
Build

You build it. Your own personal AI system - custom assistants, workflows, AI trained on your context, your standards, your way of working. Something you'll use every day. Something that produces results you'd put your name on. Whether you use it for yourself, share it with your team, or roll it out across your organisation - it's yours.

You'll leave with: A working AI system you can use immediately.

About PLAI

Nonprofit roots, AI specialists.

We started PLAI because we kept watching brilliant people in brilliant organisations get handed AI tools by trainers who'd never done the kind of work those people do every day.

Our team has 25+ years inside the nonprofit sector. We've run the campaigns, written the grants, sat in the board meetings. When we teach AI, every example comes from that world - because when you're applying AI to a safeguarding process or a funding application, the person in the room needs to understand what those things are.

We've trained over 15,000 nonprofit professionals. Our sessions are rated 4.9 out of 5. We've been ranked the top session at global social impact conferences. And we're advisors to UNDP and the World Economic Forum

We're called PLAI (pronounced 'play') for a reason - we teach through games, build labs, hands on work and juicy conversations.

Questions

Before You Decide

Will I be able to keep up? I'm not particularly technical.+

The best AI users aren't technical - they're people who know their work deeply. We designed this for people like you: smart, experienced, curious. We don't assume any tech background. The skills we build on - design thinking, iteration, creative problem-solving - are things you already use. Some of our most impressive builds come from people who said "I'm not technical at all" on day one.

I've bought online courses before and never finished them.+

Fair. This is a live cohort, not a content library. You're on a schedule with real people. Every week there's a session to show up to, a peer group who'll notice if you don't, and something you're building. The two-session guarantee means the only risk is showing up twice.

How much time does this take each week?+

2 hours live. Most people spend another hour or two between sessions. Around 3 hours a week. We designed this to be worth your time, not consume it.

I'm already using AI. Is this too basic for me?+

Probably not. Most people who join are already using AI in some form - they just know they're not getting what they should be. The Immersion goes well beyond the basics: custom assistants, agents, advanced workflows, design methodology. Week 2 is usually where experienced users have their biggest "I had no idea" moment.

Is this the right time to be investing in AI - with everything else going on in the sector?+

We hear this a lot. The framework you'll learn doesn't expire when the tools change - it's about how you think, not which buttons you press. The two-session guarantee means you can decide for yourself once you're in.

What if I miss a session?+

Everything is recorded and shared within 24 hours. The live experience - the energy, the experimentation, the conversations - doesn't translate perfectly to a recording though. Protect the time if you can.

What happens after the programme ends?+

12 months of AI Spark access - monthly sessions to keep you current as AI keeps moving. Your cohort network stays active. You're not on your own after week four.

Can my organisation send multiple people?+

We'd encourage it. When two or three people go through together, the momentum inside the organisation is dramatically higher. Get in touch and we'll sort out team pricing.
